It’s no secret I’m a big Hawkwind fan, and when I heard this glorious cover by EBB it gave me goosebumps in the same way I got the first time the needle hit the wax of Hawkwind’s Warrior on the Edge of Time.
The band has really captured the vintage space rock sound, with the vocals soaring in and out of the melodic keyboards, psychedelic guitar, and stoner rock bass. Percussion is strong, adding texture and depth and the vocal harmonies work beautifully with the lyrics of the song.
This is an impressive cover with an obvious love of the original source material and I can’t wait to see what’s next from this band. You can see a live performance below, or check them out on Spotify.
