After taking a longer-than-intended hiatus from getting out to photograph at gigs, I went to my local venue The Craufurd Arms to see AA Williams with special guest Karin Park supporting. And what a beautiful, emotional and ethreal show to dust off the cobwebs and get back into the music scene.
Karin Park was just sublime, her emotionally charged vocals cut through the atmosphere in the venue like a knife as she skillfully wove her way around the keyboards and synths surrounding her on stage adding dark and melodic soundscapes that wove around her voice with such precision it was just stunning.
If you didn’t guess, I absolutely loved this performance. I’m not ashamed to say I had not listened to Karin Park before, but she will certainly be on my playlist from here on in.
