Girlschool formed in 1978, and for over 40 years they have remained one the predominant all female heavy rock bands and are still going strong. With a return of Tracey Lamb on bass, original members Kim McAuliffe and Denise Dufort on vocals/guitar and drums respectively, and long standing lead guitarist Jackie Chambers we were treated to some rather fantastic Motorhead esque heavy rock that Lemmy would have been proud of.
With no signs of slowing down, Girlschool played to a packed out crowd for Independent Venues week at The Craufurd Arms. Great audience participation, and huge smiles in the band they show us as age is just a number and why should we grow old gracefully!
