Evyltyde are band I have not listened too before, so went in to see the support a little unsure what to expect. I knew it would be heavy, probably heavier than I normally like (being a bit more of an Indie guy) but although theses guys and gal rock, and hard – they do it with a style and swagger that is infectious.

Heavy riffs and melodic vocals instantly reminded me of another band I saw at HRH Prog last year – Pre Med, but in a really good way. Really powerful, emotional yet raw vocals really worked hard with the pulsing, rhythm section of the band. Guitar weaving in and out with complexity and skill.

In summary, a great way to open the night, with a really good audience, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this performance which really got me in the mood for Girlschool!
