Captain Lockheed and the Starfighters originally started out as a concept album created by Bob Calvert, the former frontman of British space-rock band Hawkwind.
Performing live at Shepherds Bush Empire, their set consisted of songs written by Bob, with a mixture of songs and spoken interludes including one of my favourite tracks Spirit of the Age.
This was an thoroughly enjoyable set, with suitably 70’s space rock vibe with cosmic dancers to boot! Check out my full gallery below.
